Reasonably easy to find but a bit cumbersome to get tickets first, wait with a group in the heat and then in tow to the gondola. Probably can't be helped but you wonder all the time if everything is going to work out haha. Gondola itself was fun to experience, I would recommend taking the version over the main canal though. Then you see more.

Our ride was amazing and the guy who assisted us was very nice.. An experience and a knowledgable treat! I would recommend it to everyone.
Great experience, so glad we did it. Lots of information provided about gondolas and gondoliers. A very smooth experience from start to finish, we loved it. Our guide and gondolier were brilliant!
It was a very pleasant experience! Really easy to book and it was also easy to exchange ticket from the online ticket to a paper one at the ticket station! I would really recommend!
It was a nice experience for a first time. The downside is the waiting time and praying for decent people to share the gondola with.
The ticketing service works a charm. Good value for the money and interesting trips, tours in Venice. Well done to the guides, take time to listen and answer questions even when we had terrible weather..rain, rain.
Very good experience from the moment we were welcomed until the end of the tour. Everything very organized and with a very attentive staff.

Easy to make a reservation on line. Detailed directions on where to meet, to include pictures of the exact location. Great experience.
We didn't have an audio tour. The on-site organization was not up to scratch (we changed the boarding location twice).

The description said that the experience would last 50 minutes but it lasted maybe 20 max. The line to get on the gondola was very long and so we didn't actually get on one until 2:25 (was supposed to be 2) and then it was done by 2:45. It's fine if it's only 20 minutes, but then you should advertise it as such
Excellent thanks for the ride

The hospitality of the gondoliers and their interest in offering us an excellent gondola ride.

Very friendly gondolier and 30-minute tour not bad at all. It's a pity that the price on the spot was 90 euros against 149 with the reservation...

The gondola was pretty and we enjoyed seeing Venice from its perspective. The guide was a good whistler.
Ride was good but not 50 minutes as advertised. Max about 30 minutes.
Unfortunately, the ride was only 19 minutes long instead of 30. A new gondolier was being trained on our trip. This meant that the two gondoliers spent the whole ride talking about riding techniques and the one being trained received loud instructions. Twice the gondola tilted very critically to the right, which was followed by loud instructions. Unfortunately, the reception at the boarding point could not be described as polite either. The price-performance ratio was therefore not in line with the offers of other gondoliers.

Two addresses for the departure point. The gondolier sent me to campo stefano even though my ticket indicated sangiglio... after several quick trips back and forth, they finally agreed to provide the service.
View original review in French
Ride took only 20 minutes instead of the 30 minutes specified and with this booking was completely overpriced compared to local fares, with no added value.

The gondola ride remains a unique memory But unfriendly gondolier: not a single word. Not even a hello on arrival. A route along the canals that wasn't very interesting and in a queue (whereas we've seen other, more isolated gondolas on other canals in the city). In short, if I had to do it again, I'd opt for a more decentralized start.
View original review in French
The ride was very short and we just went round in circles. We hardly saw anything and we had to make sure that the gondolier kept going. He seemed very listless. It wasn't worth the money at all. Not even €90, which we would have paid on the spot.
View original review in German
Ride was much cheaper directly at the venue. We had to climb over two other gondolas with a 3 year old on our arm while the direct dock was empty. Next time directly booking at the gondola to look for a good driver.
We were disappointed by the gondola tour, apart from the fact that we only spent 20 minutes on the water, the tour was very short and the gondolier did the bare minimum. Although I'd recommend doing it, as it's something to be done under different conditions. Too bad for a ticket bought at full price without negotiation for 50 minutes ....

Very short drive for so much money. Only one lap around a block, would have liked to see more of the city.

Gondola was not nicely decorated and rather plain. We would have liked a nicer gondola.

The gondola ride lasted just 20 minutes.

They weren't very helpfull when they shaw we had "vouchers". They wanted to be payed in cash. We also got trainee gondoliers and they kept on bumping into everything. Really nothing good to report!
Complaint Regarding Gondola Ride – Booking No. – Request for Refund or Appropriate Resolution Dear Sir or Madam, On 2025-08-07, we booked a gondola ride in Venice through your agency (Booking No. [26537271 ], boarding point S. Maria del Giglio, Calle Gritti). We were a family of four looking forward to an authentic, traditional experience. Unfortunately, the ride did not meet the expectations set by your booking description. The gondolier spent the entire ride loudly engaging in private phone conversations. He showed no interest in the guests or the ride itself, provided no commentary, and failed to create any atmosphere. In addition, the chosen route went almost entirely through unremarkable side canals with no notable sights. Given the high price of the service, this was extremely disappointing. We consider this behavior disrespectful to paying guests and to the tradition of gondola rides. The service provided did not match the quality or value advertised by your agency. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund of the amount paid or an appropriate alternative resolution that reflects the poor service received. Please inform me within 14 days how you intend to proceed in this matter. Kind regards, Sabine Lorenz-Verseck

We were the most lucky person's because we were on the gondola with the musicians. It was an amazing experience. I'm sure the other people on the gondola infront and back of us had a great experience too, but it can't compare to our experience. The virtual reality headset was a great start into the tour and the guided tour to the boat was a great use of our time. I was not expecting this great service, I thought we will get a mediocre serenad and that's it. I was wrong. It fealt like a human and not a tourist who's money can be milked. Huge thanks to the team. Maybe one point for change: it was confusing where the meeting point will be. I booked on the Headout map and first we went to the Calle larga de l'Ascension instead of St.Mark’s Square. Thanks to the whole team, it was great!
The gondola ride was 15 minutes and it just took a lap around a single canal, not around multiple canals. I t was advertised as 50 minutes
The meeting point wasn't even the one on the ticket. Then we spent a lot of time waiting for someone, which was very unpleasant Apart from that, the tour only lasted 30 minutes, not 50.

Stupid tour, makes no sense to spend this much for this crappy experience.
I wanted a gondola ride for my group of 4 with serenade in our gondola and wrote several times to Headout to make sure of it. This experience is with groups of 5 people per gondola and group of several gondolas. The singer rides in the center gondola with the lucky people who get to ride with him. In our case our gondolier put us last in the group and you could hardly hear him. I also took a ride on the Grand Canal which is not like that, they cross it to the other side to join all the gondolas and face each other to enter the 1st alley and do not do a tour or explanation of the buildings of the Grand Canal. It also includes a virtual 3D experience of old Venice in English and a small explanation also in English from your guide until you reach the gondola and although all the guides speak Spanish and half of the group we were Spanish speakers did not feel like speaking in both languages. I do not recommend it at all. A gondola there costs 90€ per group of 5 people.

This is a really rubbish attempt at what could be a brilliant experience in Venice. You CANNOT hear the music. The goldalas make a long train behind and if you're near the back? Tough luck. Any whispers you might of heard can't be because the drivers are shouting to each other. Not romantic, not a serenade and just a money grabbing organisation. The experience was over in 15 minutes and was both underwhelming and unpleasent.
The Gondolas where beautiful. The gondola guys where amazing , fun , and handsome. The music and the singer was just mesmerizing. It was the perfect Venice experience, and the Best thing we did at Venice you guys made our trip to Venice the focus of our experience. Thank you.
Fantastic experience , fantastic staff , friendly and helpful romantic and refined music , elegant to be able to surprise your woman , price . if you book online you find very affordable prices ☺️ thanks again to all the staf .

Very complimentary and the experience for me and my husband was wonderful we loved it very much it was private and the serenade .. we really lived it was the package I booked. I was a little afraid because of the bad comments I had read but I think that everyone lives their experience differently....

Musians were outstanding. Great experience
Singer was great. Ride smooth. Your team helped me get out of Gondola. I use a cane. Really appreciate that
Unfortunately, the gondoliers were quite unfriendly. For the price of €150, we thought we had booked a gondola with a singer. However, it is a group of gondolas and there is a singer on one of the gondolas. It is mass processing. At the end, a gondolier got cheeky because my husband wasn't quick enough with the tip. Then there was nothing. Tip: better during the day and without a singer - book directly on site! It's much cheaper and certainly no worse!
View original review in German
It was a fun experience and we got to hear the singer even though we were in the first boat. The duration wasn't even close to 30 minutes though. Our time was 6:30 and we spent 5-10 waiting on the main canal for all the other boats and then the actual ride was maybe 10 minutes long. We did one route thru a small canal and came back to the dock at 6:45. All that for 105 euros.... Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't repeat
There was nothing to love about the experience. When we arrived at the meeting point there was someone who told us the 6:30 pm ride was cancelled because of rainy weather. I called the local tour partner number to tell them and ask for a refund and their office was closed. I also tried to call the toll free number at head out and the call was answered by what sounded like a fax machine. Please refund my cancellation amount to my American Express card ending with 11002. We had to leave Venice this morning to return to America.
I expected a gondola ride into the sunset, as this was a sunset ride. Instead, the sunset was behind us most of the time. The gondolas grouped up with others to listen to a women singing with a guitar accompaniment. There was no singer on our gondola. This ride took around 20 to 25 minuets, not even a half an hour. Once the woman stopped singing, we were taken back to land. We didn't even go anywhere. Total Rip-Off!

The guide was dificult to keep up with and quite difficult to understand. The guide had no interest in assisting us with the next part of our booking - the Gondola ride. THe booking dstated that we had a 2.5 hour experience. It actually turned out to be about one hour in the Basicila follwed by a 3.5 hour gap before a 20 minute gondola ride. Nowhere were we informed that this gap existed - I had to ring hte service number to speak to a representative who informed me tha thte gondola ride was taking place miud afternoon. This required us to rearrange our plans for our group of 10 people for hte remainder of the day.
our guide speaks English but it was so hard for our party of 7 to understand him, he speaks so fast and his accent is strong, we were not able to ubderstand most if what he was saying. the head phones they provided are not the best either. for the price we paid, would be nice if we get our money's worth but did not.
I had to call customer service because it was not clear the meeting point and the area was overcrowded, with the guide Bianca everything was great and the lady was charming and very well explained. The gondola ride we had to cancel it because of the inclement weather and the storm.

It was great! We managed to visit st marks. Then we went (on another booking) to the dodge palace and at 15:00 we did the gondola which was also great. Keep in mind, this does not have access to the The Pala d'Oro, you have to pay an extra 5 euros per person for that. Still got what I came for.
Dommage.
I’ve always wanted to see “the beating heart of Venice” AKA Mark’s Cathedral and when I saw these ticket prices, how could I resist
The Basilica di San Marco was everything I was hoping for, and then some! I have studied this basilica in utmost depth (or so I thought) because there were so many new facts I learnt
I’ve always wanted to see Mark’s Basilica, and what a way to get there! I honestly felt transported during the Gondola ride
The ride to the Basilica made me very uncomfortable: first off, motion sick and there was this really weird smell in the air
Want a Venetian experience that is both relaxing and educating at the same time? You’ll literally find no other ticket that better matches these expectations, and personally, I couldn’t get enough of the Gondola ride
I don’t always appreciate mashing up of services, but these two complement each other quite well. Besides, it’s a means of transport to get to the Mark’s Basilica as well (hehe) would highly recommend it
You can see the Mozart House and the Peggy Guggenheim collection from the ride to the Basilica: three birds with one stone
Can we take a minute to appreciate the Gondolier’s skills? Ours was so experienced and was quite skinny, even though he controlled the whole Gondola!
All great to do again absolutely 👍😉🎉🎉

Great attraction well worth the money and the guide was excellent
The guide (Mirco) was great, and enhanced the whole experience of the visit.
Great experiences in Venice, with both the basilica and the gondola.
Alles ok. Beim Treffpunkt müsste auch jemand da sein der Deutsch spricht. Nicht jeder kann Englisch

It is a good tour, everything depends on your guide. You will not get tired, since the walking part is taking approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. After the guided tour we had a gondola ride. This totally worth it to try. It can be better, than taking a separate gondola ride (from price perspective), because this tour might cost 45 euros, but the inly one gondola ride is 39 euro.
Valentina was an amazing guide.
A very informative tour away from the main attractions.

Amazing, we liked our captain and how highly experienced he was
The tour itself was great as was a the gondola ride! Both the guide and the gondolier were very pleasant. Our issue was with the male staff member at your meeting point. Admittedly, we were late for the tour as we had trouble navigating from our cruise ship to the meeting point. When I asked him where we could meet them, he very reluctantly gave me an address for my google maps and sent us on our way WITHOUT THE HEADSET. His complete attitude from the first moment was rude and condescending.
Marco, our waking tour guide was amazing. His dry wit made the tour super enjoyable. We also enjoyed the gondola ride, we had great weather for it!
The walking tour was very interesting, but the gondola tour was terrible, the gondolier didn't even say hello during the ride.

Ticketing and walking tour was good. Gondola ride was so-so.
It was a great experience and very informativ
The tour guide never showed up & we were very disappointed. We waited for over an hour & asked 10 different people if that was the correct location & we confirmed we were at the correct address & no guide showed. I would appreciate a refund since we were left abandoned waiting for someone to show up. Very unprofessional! We are very disappointed & I spent good money on a tour that didn't happen. Show
The meeting point wasn't specific. The maps gave us two different locations, so we kept going back and forth trying to find the group. At one point, we were at the right spot 5 minutes before the tour started, but I guess the group left early. The tour guide should’ve had a flag or worn specific clothing. My friend and I are still waiting for a refund.

We always try to do something interesting on our first day in a new place to get an overview and our bearings. Thought it would be a gondola ride in Venice but in reading travel blogs, a motorboat ride through the grand grand canal sounded better. So we took a chance and loved it. Our guide was fabulous and really knew her stuff. Got to see an awful lot in an hour. Have to say that without google maps we would never have found the ticket office. It would have been nice to have a little more info re: location on the webpage.
The tour itself was really nice, It was a little difficult to look out of the boat. The booking was not as nice. Thsi was the second of the same tour that was booked. The first tour, which I'm not sure was thru Headout, but instructions for the meeting place were not accurate or easy to locate, we talked to an agent several times to makee sure we were booked, she had to give us paper tickets and told us where to go to wait for the tour. The time fo the tour we and several other were standing around waiting on our guide, she was late. We were afraid the boat may have left.
I would've enjoyed seeing the sights from the water.. I was disappointed that the boat that was used was a water taxi with a closed roof and the driver lifted a cover over the front so we could not see. The guide was knowledgeable.
The instructions on where to go to meet my person were a bit confusing. I went up to the booth and ticket person told me to walk down the docks. I ended up having to run around the area for 10 minutes to find the correct spot.
Venice can be enjoyed best through a boat. This is like a private taxi taking you around the most wonderful of places. We got a good deal from here
You really get to see so much through this boat ride. We saw many wonderful palaces like churches, public buildings and even some historical bridges. One must try this ride
The price is really high when purchased online. We were about to make that mistake when a freind referred this website to us. We picked a cheap deal without any compromise on the trip
The Grand Canal guided tour is a great way to see the points of interest along the grand canal. There was a guide who provided details on the lovely monuments and even obloged us with pictures
Everybody will keep telling you to take a Gandola. You will get to see some beautiful and unique scenery that is just mind blowing, Even the cost is so cheap when booked online
The Grand Canal tour is a surreal tour. The buildings on the way take your breathe away and everything you see is actually amazing. Totally worth the spend
This tour was every bit dreamy. We picked so many affordable experiences from here and did almost everything people are known to here.
The only way to truly experience Venice is to take this water taxi . We booked it online from here and got a really cheap deal unlike others who went paid an exorbidant amount
It truly is fascinating to see everything aound a floating city. Must take this tour incase you want to sit back and enjoy the view.
We ticked Venice off our bucket list but made sure we take the Grand Canal Tour as well. It was such a delight enjoying the beauty of the place with this ride
This is the first website that referred me this tour and that too at such a cheap rate. I am glad i took their suggestion. It was awesome!
We took the Grand Canale tour and it turned out to be an excellent decision. You get to see all the wonderful architecture of the city. We were also lucky to not find much traffic.
An inexpensive and best way to enjoy the city. Bagged a good deal from here! Totally love Headout for their offers and deals
Great ride but the guide was a little lazy it seemed. He just kept talking about the things we asked not sporty enough to share.
This was such a good deal to book from here. My husband actually thought i was going bananans but little did he know it was pre booked
Venice is such a beautiful place and the Grand Canal tour was the highlight for me. this place is the hub of it. Absolutely beautiful at night.
